Diakon helps their retail clients get products to customers in an efficient and professional manner. Normally, I would advise against making a graphic element the first letter in a company name. It almost always looks awkward and impairs legibility. In this case, by carefully matching the weight and angle of the graphic D with the rest of the type in the name, I was able to create a seamless logotype that quickly conveys Diakon's business of delivering goods from one place to another.
